Searhc Invites Women to ROAR into 2019

  • Centennial Hall Convention Center 1 01 Egan Dr, Juneau, Alaska 99801 (map)

ROAR is first of what SEARHC hopes will be many annual ROAR Women’s Conferences in the region. This year’s keynote speaker is National Child Safety Advocate, and Women’s Empowerment Speaker, Elizabeth Smart. Ms. Smart first entered the public’s consciousness when she was abducted from her Salt Lake City, Utah home in 2002 as a 14-year-old girl and then rescued nine months later.

Elizabeth’s story is one of triumph and victory in spite of tragedy and challenges. Her perseverance stands as proof that a remarkable future is possible, even after experiencing personal trauma or whatever hardships come our way.

Along with Ms. Smart, SEARHC invited women from the organization and the Juneau community to discuss topics that uniquely, often challenge women. Topics include Self Image & Self Worth; Balancing Work & Family Life; Seasons of a Woman’s Life; Nutrition & Exercise; Self-Care; Vision for the Future; and Faith – The Spiritual Woman.

The motivational conference for women is at the Centennial Hall Convention Center in Juneau, beginning Friday evening, January 11 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm, and picks up again Saturday, January 12, from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm.

The cost is $69.00 per person by December 31, 2018, / $79 per person beginning January 1, 2019 (includes Friday evening and all day Saturday, light snacks, continental breakfast, and lunch). Participants must be at least 16 years old to attend
